A variety of special animals ranging from cuddly guinea pigs to adorable alpacas provided by the friends at Mill Cottage Farm Experience visited Whitgift Care residents, friends and family on Tuesday 22 August at Whitgift House.
Residents enjoyed an afternoon of petting animals with tea and cake provided and a prize-draw raffle.
It was also a special day for Whitgift House resident, Doreen, who celebrated her 88th birthday surrounded by a chorus of happy birthday wishes.
For most residents, it was also an opportunity to relive fond childhood memories:
“It’s been 80 years since I held a rabbit and it has reminded me of the white rabbit I had as a boy.” Don, Whitgift House resident.
“Lovely to see so many residents enjoying all the farm animals!” Whitgift House relative.
“It’s a beautiful experience. The animals are just lovely.” Dorothy, Whitgift Care resident.
