£230 raised at Wilhelmina Christmas Coffee morning

Residents, their families, friends and staff were in festive high spirits on Saturday 5th December as they kicked off their Christmas celebrations with their annual fundraising coffee morning at Wilhelmina House.

Approximately 50 people enjoyed warm mince pies, stollen and cupcakes with their morning cuppa as they chatted in the winter wonderland, decorated by staff, in the lounge and dining room.

Santa Claus made an unexpected visit and brought with him a little helper who passed round chocolates. Nicky Chambers, (Julia, the Administrator’s sister) tinkled the ivories with popular Christmas tunes and the Activities Coordinator led an enthusiastic rendition of “We wish you a merry Christmas”.

The activity stall offered home-made Christmas cards and picture frames for sale, and of course the 2016 Wilhelmina House picture calendars. The highlight as always was the raffle and there was a wonderful array of fabulous prizes to be won, as well as delicious cakes to be bought.

Thanks to everyone who helped us raise over £230 for the Resident’s Welfare Fund and made the morning such a happy occasion.
