1. Ensure a varied diet which includes five portions of fruit and/or veg per day.

2. Drink plenty of fluids, especially in warm weather.

3. Keep physically active.

4. Those with limited mobility may be able to do gentle hand/arm/leg and feet stretching exercises whilst sitting or lying down to help promote their circulation.

5. Try to keep mentally stimulated (through positive socialising, reading or participating in activities of interest).
