Caribbean punch, parrots, palm trees and pineapples at Whitgift House

Whitgift House embraced the summer heatwave with a Caribbean party on Tuesday 23 August. It was a beautiful summers afternoon with a soft breeze wafting through the room and with the bright blue skies, residents really felt as though they were in the Caribbean.

Vibrant bunting, palm trees and pineapples surrounded the residents as they sipped delicious homemade Pina Colada, Rum cocktails and non-alcoholic fruit punch, served by the wonderful Friends of Whitgift House.

The afternoon rekindled fond family holidays to beautiful locations, from Spain to Antigua and closer a field in Devon and Cornwall.

The sunny reggae music put residents in a relaxed holiday mood as they danced and swayed to the happy songs.

Residents are thoroughly looking forward to a long Summer bank holiday weekend of sunshine and laughter.
