Wilhelmina House held its annual Christmas coffee morning on Saturday 8th December, the home had an excellent turnout raising over £360 for the resident’s social fund.
The entire home looked its festive best with plenty of wonderful stalls selling goods including, Christmas cards, 2019 calendars and a special seasonal sweet sale using the homes newly acquired sweet cart.
The raffle was as popular as ever, because of the excellent quality of prizes that were packaged beautifully - ranging from a blue ray player, bottles of bubbly, perfume and a festive hamper.
Whilst tucking into yummy mince pies and a cup of tea residents listened to live piano music performed by Nicola administrator Julia’s sister, who once again was kind enough to provide music.
The morning finished with a cheerful rendition of “We wish you a Merry Christmas”sung by one and all and a surprise visit from Santa Claus, which brought smiles.
“Christmas events at Wilhelmina House are great fun, I cherish the moments we spend together.”, Wilhelmina House resident.
“It’s worth coming for the raffle alone – the prizes are all lovely and there are so many of them!“, Wilhelmina House guest.
