Facilities & services
Our support staff are there seven days a week to keep a watchful eye, deal with any problems with the property, and to give a helping hand with daily life when needed. Although the flats are self-catered, if they choose, residents are very welcome to have lunch at Whitgift House – often forming close friendships with the residents there.
They also enjoy a close relationship with pupils and staff from the schools and are always welcome to enjoy the many performances and sports fixtures at the schools.

“Mum loves the garden, her window where she can sit and watch the birds, and playing cards with her friends. It’s such a relief to know she’s happy here, that she doesn’t have to feel alone.”

Keeping active
It’s vital we keep our minds and bodies active as we get older – it keeps us feeling young and helps to bring a sense of joy and purpose to our daily lives.
At Whitgift House our sheltered apartments, residents enjoy a strong sense of community and tend to forge close personal relationships with their neighbours – including those at Whitgift House nursing home and pupils and staff of the school.
Being looked after
Residents at Whitgift House sheltered apartments live under their own care in self-catered accommodation. However, staff are on duty seven days a week to deal with any problems at the property and to give residents a hand with daily life when they need.
And should they need help urgently outside of duty hours, they can trigger their pendant alarm to access our Careline and get the help they need. There is also a dedicated GP who visits weekly. Of course, residents are welcome to continue to be seen by their own GP if they prefer.
