It was a cold but dry September day, thankfully Age UK B team came with high hopes of a first victory full of laughter, while the Whitgift Care residents were feeling quietly positive. A perfect start by WH and it was only after the interval of double Danish did we see a fight back by the Age UK B Team.
Game 1) WH Grace & David v Age UK B Anderida & Julia
David & Grace, our home-grown talent took a commanding lead. David took the win. Grace, Julia & Anderida for 2nd, 3rd & 4th places.

Game 2) WH Alice & George v Age UK B Edna & Hilary
To make up a 6-team match Edna & Hilary played for Age UK B. A slow start by Edna & Hilary which was unusual. George was sold. George took the win, Edna, Alice & Hilary for 2nd, 3rd & 4th places.
Running score: 13-7
Game 3) WH Maurice & David v Age UK B Joan & Mitzi
There were moments but David & Maurice were just too strong. David again took the win, followed by Maurice, Joan & Mitzi for 2nd, 3rd & 4th places.
Running score: 20-10
Tea, coffee, and cakes were served to give the players a rest.
Game 4) WH Grace & George v Age UK B Anderida & Julia
Anderida shocked everyone other than WH newcomer Gracee who kept close. Anderida took the win, Grace, George & Julia for 2nd, 3rd & 4th places.

Game 5) WH Alice & Maurice v Age UK B Edna & Hilary
A close match Edna hitting Maurice ball over 5 times, her excuse was he was in the way! Alice came from missing the 1st hoop to doing a one shoot on hoop 3 the hardest one. Edna coming home first, followed by Alice, Hilary & then Maurice for 2nd, 3rd & 4th places.

Game 6) WH Grace & Maurice v Age UK B Joan & Mitzi
Grace wins with the support of Maurice. WH were too strong. Grace took the win, followed by Maurice, Mitzi & Joan for 2nd, 3rd & 4th places.
Final score: WH 37-23 Age UK B. Another win for Whitgift Care.
