Congratulations to our lovely volunteer Jill who won Whitgift House’s Bake Off with her culinary delight of a Bakewell Tart last Friday.
Entries were both sweet and savoury and included a bacon and cheddar strada, apple turnover, and a banana marble cake to name a few.
All congregated in the Community Room to hear the announcement by judges Rebecca, Regional Operational Manager from the home’s caterers, Chartwells, as well as the home’s Chef, Chris.
All who entered received chocolates and a small bottle of bubbly – Jill won a food voucher.
